Enjoy a taste of real Beer at the Pitmedden Music Festival

Beer enthusiasts can experience real ale from the finest microbreweries in the north and north east of Scotland at the Pitmedden Music Festival.

beerfestlogoThe beer festival is taking place as part of the Pitmedden Music Festival, which takes place on 6, and 7 June at the National Trust for Scotland’s Pitmedden Gardens.

Eleven breweries from the north and northeast will be represented including beers from Cromarty Brewery, Windswept Brewery from Lossiemouth and Deeside Brewery. Fair trade wine and cider will also be on sale.

Real ale enthusiast, Paul Johnston who is also a Councillor for Mid Formartine, is co-ordinating the beer festival. Cllr Johnston said: “There’s nothing better than being surrounded by friends with a cold beer and good music. The Pitmedden Music Festival offers this and gives festival-goers the chance to experience some of the finest craft, microbreweries in the area.

There’ll be something for everyone with a range of real ales from local breweries and some unusual lighter golden beers. I’d encourage people to come along and join in the fun.”

Organiser of the Pitmedden Music Festival, Angie Stemp said: “We are delighted to be running a beer festival as part of the main Pitmedden Music Festival. The beer tent will showcase micro-breweries in the area and offer festival visitors a taste of a range of real ale. Tickets for the event are selling fast and I’d encourage people to get theirs if they want to come along. It’s also worth remembering that children under 12 go free!”

The beer festival will held in a separate, covered tent and drinks will not be allowed into the children’s area.

The Pitmedden Beer Festival takes place just days after the Campaign for Real Ale Aberdeen & North East Beer Festival being held at the Pittodrie Stadium (29 to 31 May.)

The family friendly ‘not for profit’ Pitmedden Music Festival includes live music and entertainment for all the family including

music workshops, puppet shows and magic shows.

A full programme including a day of children’s entertainment and ticket details are available on the website www.pitmeddenmusicfestival.com or www.facebook.com/pitmeddenmusicfestival.

Parking will cost £2
