Local Young drivers can get money off Pass Plus driving course.

All seven community safety groups in Aberdeenshire are offering young drivers (under 25) £150 towards the cost of the Pass Plus driving course. Pass Plus costs around £180 and young drivers applying to their local community safety group can get useful driving skills for a greatly reduced cost.

As well as the obvious safety benefits of taking part, a successful pass could also result in lower car insurance costs, as some insurance companies offer discounts for new drivers with a Pass Plus certificate. The driving course takes people through six hours of specific driving skills and road hazards with the aim of making sure people are more confident behind the wheel – whatever the hazard.
