Pitmedden side, Formartine Utd demolish Elgin City in Cup tie.

KeithCammy Keith scored another  hat-trick as Highland League side Formartine United demolished Scottish League Two opponents Elgin City in the Ramsden’s Cup tie at North Lodge, Pitmedden.

Michael Ewen got an equaliser within minutes after Elgin midfielder Sean Crighton had netted an early opener which seemed to spur the Pitmedden side into action. However,  Crighton was later sent off for fouling the Formartine front man Cammy Keith and Keith slotted home the resulting penalty.  Keith soon after claimed his second.

Yet another from Cammy followed and Craig McKeown put icing on the cake with an injury-time free-kick, deflected into the net by City defenders.

The remarkable 5:1 victory will be part of club history as Formartine have now defeated two Scottish League sides in the Ramsden’s
