THE Aberdonian admitted he was stunned by the support after he was watched by mates at The Pitmedden Bar as he took to the stage and came within a whisker of taking the title

FANS of a Scots singing sensation stayed up into the early hours yesterday to support him on The Voice USA – in the same pub he began his career as a KARAOKE singer.

Terry McDermott, 36, is now set for stardom as Universal Records and other top labels fight for his signature after finishing runner-up in the American version of the popular TV show.

The Aberdeen fan’s emotional rendition of Mr Mister’s 1985 hit Broken Wings was watched by millions of viewers across the US AND hardcore fans in his old village pub, The Pitmedden Bar, yesterday.
